help !! car wont shift !

We've done many many installs and we've never come across this problem ...if anyone knows what to do I would love to hear any suggestions ..we were installing a new hu in a 2010 Chevy Malibu as soon as we took off the trim around the factory stereo it killed all the power to the car ..so we put the trim back on and had to take off the battery cables to reset the car now the car won't shift ..or barely goes past 5 miles an hour ..we tried putting the key to the on position for 15 min to see if it would reset but it didn't work ...any suggestions ?????

Security code to swap on radios on newer GMs its a anti theft thing. Ask the owner to call a dealership and they can get the code. In order to swap

Had to take the car to a service center ..turns out it was missing a fuse ...thanks to those who had positive advice its cool to see that there is still some cool people out there amongst all the arrogant idiots who think they know everything .

No not blown ...the fuse was missing . The owner had bought the car used so who knows what it had done to it by the original owner ...and yea I guess if they steal the stereo you can't drive this car ..makes no sense but I think it must have been an aftermarket deal

I have no idea how the car ran before they brought it in to us ...I guess its a good learning experience to be more careful about who's car we work on and also to be more attentive to the condition of the car before we work on em. Usually we just get at it and start taking out the stock hu and we never even have thought of how the car runs.
