Hi!

I am not new to car audio, been at it since 1995, but this is my first time dealing with integrated starter generator device. The car in question is 2025 Mazda CX-70 3.3L Turbo. Can anyone offer input on the following: is there a way to find out what the current rating is on those devices? How do they generally react to system installs (I am looking at about 2,000 watts of power for the system between two amps). Are there any precautions that need to be taken as far as wiring/electrical design goes? My understanding is that cars equipped with these devices work kinda like mild hybrids. Is using an additional battery a good idea? If so, what is the best way to wire such setup? Isolator for extra battery? Any and all input is highly appreciated. Thank you!

So, your vehicle is a hybrid? Because it is new, it's hard to find information on it. I'm "guessing" it's supplying at least 125 amps to your 12v battery. What type of a system are you installing in your car? Is it for bumping or just playing loud music.

Hi, and thanks for your reply! I've always been a SQ guy, so this is what I am focusing on for this install. It's been in the works for 15 years, something always came up - wrong car, short on money, 6.5s won't fit in the doors, etc. My birthday is coming up, so it's going to be a gift to me from me  . Morel Hybrid 3-way comps upfront amped by Helix P 6 Mk2, two Audiomobile 4412s fed by Helix P 1 Mk 2, Astell & Kern source. I am certainly not interested in a ton of bass, but I do want to feel it, my main goal is great SQ WITHOUT damaging car's electrical.

Any and all input on how to get this done right from the electrical point of view would be hugely appreciated. The car is not a hybrid in full sense of the word, it has a small additional battery that helps with engine start/stop system and it also occasionally assist with acceleration. The positive terminal wiring from the factory is one of the biggest messes I've ever seen, it looks very bad and it's hard to tell with any amount of certainty what is what.
