Help a noob pick the right amp

If the MRP-M2000 is the better amp to get than I'll pick it up. On alpine.com they have the SWR-1043D (4 ohm voice coils x2) rated at 600 RMS. Is there a good wiring kit I could pick up to wirer this up? Would I need a power cap?
Are you going to run a four channel amp for the speakers too? If so, I suggest running 1/0 or 4gauge. You can find good kits online, knuconcept, ect.

Power caps are not recommended. Since you getting into a self install, I think you should do it all right the first time.

You should read this and apply this upgrade. How to upgrade the Big Three

Go ahead and use the 1/0 gauge and get a distrabution block to to split the power wire and run 4gauges to each amp you use.

There is a term, phase, stage that most will recomend That is called the big 3.

I'm really surprised no one caught this, his subs are the SWR-1023D. Those are dual 2 ohm subs, not dual 4 ohm subs like he stated. Unless the model number he gave is incorrect, you guys have been feeding him the incorrect information because he gave the incorrect coil impedance. Dual 2 is correct assuming his model number is correct. He can run them at a .5 ohm, 2 ohm, or 8 ohm load.

My bad...I meant the SWR-1043D...not 1023. Does "HO" stand for "high output alt"? I'd like to stay stock as much as I could. I have very little room in my engine bay for a batt but I have no problem upgrading some wiring in there. Would I just be better off with the SWR-1023?

welll the extra bat would be in your trunk sir.

as for a HO alt. depends, what vehicle are you in? some have larger stock ALTs.

the big three would help about 25%, but at that much power, the alt would be a better suggestion.

Rollin in a Nissan Titan so yeah...no trunk. I guess I could put in a HO alt. but wouldn't that just open up to more things I would need to mod?

Screw it...I'm going to down grade.

Amp: MRP-M500 or the PDX-M6

Subs: SWS-1243D 12" (300 RMS)x2

No upgrades needed besides maybe the big three???

With that, you'll probably be okay running just stock electrical. You might get a little dimming, but you won't have any voltage drops that could damage any of the equipment.

I guess I asked for that when I declared myself a noob. I mean the interior side of the firewall which is heat shielded with Lizard Skin.
