First time poster here...trying to set up a new system up.

I'm trying to figure out how to make two Alpine SWR 1043D 10" ( duel voice coils at 4 ohms each) work with maybe the Alpine PDX M12 amp. The amp states it will do 1200 RMS at 2 and 4 ohms and the subs need 600 RMS each. Would this setup work well? How would the subs be wired into the amp?

Thanks in advace.

Should work pretty good but the amp will be cranked to get what you need which most dont like to do... but you wire them like this

So 4 ohms will be fine or will it make the amp work too hard? No sure how hot these guys get but it will be under a seat (with a A/C vent near it) so I'd like it not to work too too hard.

I haven't bought it quite yet...still trying to figure out which amp would be best. Just as long as I stay with alpine...

SO would the MRP-M200 be a better choice for the subs? It costs less which is a plus.

I think it is. Those subs are 500rms 1500peak. That amp RMS Power Ratings

Per channel into 4 Ohms: (@ 14.4V Ƈ%THD+N, 20Hz - 200Hz) 1500Wx1

Per channel into 2 Ohms: (@ 14.4V Ƈ%THD+N, 20Hz - 200Hz) 2000Wx1

mo powa

If the MRP-M2000 is the better amp to get than I'll pick it up. On alpine.com they have the SWR-1043D (4 ohm voice coils x2) rated at 600 RMS. Is there a good wiring kit I could pick up to wirer this up? Would I need a power cap?

I guess I asked for that when I declared myself a noob. I mean the interior side of the firewall which is heat shielded with Lizard Skin.
