i wanted to run 2 zx2500's on 4 of them but somebody said that would be underpower

I have ran all 3 subs. For those of you noobs that think that the HDC3 will absolutely pwn the others, you are wrong. Each one has its pros and cons.
Agreed. All subs have thier pros and cons.

The HDC3 are in my opinion the better sub by far! Yes I have heard and seen them up close and personal. Can't say I've ever seen a Type R or L7 strapped to 5k or more but I've def. seen HDC3's strapped to individual 7k's and take 10k on a burp.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Out of the group I found the L7 to be the quietest. The highest score that I remember doing at the headrest was a 147.2 with a 15" L7. But, I've learned quite a bit about my truck since then, which is why I'm 3 dB louder now. If I did another L7 install it would probably be close to the R, but I have yet to see an install where a L7/CVX is louder than an R for a setup that peaks below 50 hz. I have compared a L7/CVX to a Type R in 3 different cars and the R was louder by at least .4 dB in every single one. The L7 may prevail over the R in a high tuned setup, but for most of us the R is just a better overall sub. Recently I did a sub and amp swap in my truck. The first setup (mine) is a zx2500.1 @ 1 ohm and Type R 15. The second setup is a HDC315 (aluminum coils) and a Powerbass 3000d @ 0.5 ohm. On the meter the HDC3 was only .3 dB louder than the R. Keep in mind that the HDC3 also received quite a bit more power. The big difference between the R and the HDC3 is that the HDC3 can handle high power for longer periods of time, which makes it a better sub for those that want to overpower their subs for a extended period of time. The R works much better in a lower powered setup because it is an extremely efficient sub.

you ever considered going with 2 18's and a 3500D I think that would make anyone happy for a daily system cant ask for much more then that! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I've got an idea. How about you do your own damn research? How about you create YOUR OWN system! You want us to wipe your ass for you too?

He asks a question, gets a ton of answers. Then he asks another.... and another... and another.... and another! And it's HIS BUILD! Why can't he pick out his own equipment, design it himself, and build it himself? I can't stand when people want everyone else to do all their work for them. Do they have no imagination? I dont get it....
