HDC3 vs Type R vs L7's

which sub would give me the best sound which ever one i run i want to do 4 of them in a tahoe, and should i do 4 15's or 4 12's? i'm thinking 15's since i'm doing them in a truck, and also whats this strach thing i hear about HDC3? please help me out

How much power?

4 15s would be nice

I dont think the HDCs are in the same class as the other 2......imho

The HDC3's will eat those other ones alive with a proper box/tuning/power.

With 2 2500.1s, I would run 2 HDC3's with each being powered by one amp.

with that power I would go with the Type Rs... the hdc3 will need more power than that

i have a tahoe and ive tried both the alpine and the kicker the kickers get loud as hell look at my pics.everyone on this forum tells me to try audio que but i havnt herd anyones with em

by the way im running 2 zx2500s to 4 L7s. i even tried 8-12" type r and i like the 4 15" better. the 8-12" were sealed the 4- 15" are ported

you could do 2 AQ3500 on 4 HDC3 no problem, Electrical is another thing at that point, and it would take a lot of electrical to back up 2 3500's.

the kicker 2500.1 will run 2 all day but you could be louder..

If all you want is SPL and a daily beater thats loud it would be easier to power the L7's propperly.

2 15" HDC on a AQ3500 would be pretty loud as well.

A stetsom 7KD would run 4 HDC3 no problem and save on the amp footprint size.
