all the aq motors will fit a 8 layer coil but only some will fit a huge 8 layer coil...

There is about 100 motors that won't fit an 8 layer coil at all. It was something that was supposed to be tried in house, but the build house did a full run of them and never said anything.

Yep, the motors have changed at least 5 times that I know of.

is this a bad thing? jus curious like i said mine is the 4 spoke basket, and idk how to tell what motor mine has if its changed 5 times lol

Nope, pole never changed that I know of. The gap has, and the motor itself was altered twice before I got there.

you have the old style basket. I've done a few recones with the AQ v4 baskets/recones and have seen gains up to about 1dB with them. Otherwise an HDC4 is another solid option.

Lol you know what i meant but 10/10 it works fine.... I meant aq softparts in general. I just want to uprade the soft parts Nd handling so i can run my amp at .5ohm

No I don't know what you mean, you said AQ soft parts are garbage, so tell me how AQ soft parts are junk. Considering you don't even know that an HDC3 = 3" VC, so a 4" VC won't fit, I'm assuming you're just repeating what you read on forums instead of basing that statement off actual experience.

I run an AQ3500 @ .5ohm daily on an HDC3 aluminum coil with NO issues. Majority of AQ soft part issues are operator error plain and simple. If you're blowing **** up figure out why as there is no magical suspension/coil package out there that's idiot proof.

I've reconed a LOT of blown subs over the last 3-4 years and I can tell you that AQ is far from the top of the list...
