Ive been reading around and the 2 most popular options are PSI & Spl Audio. im trying to figure out a cost EST, my sub is currently a dual 2. but i want it reconed to a dual 1

I would take SPL audio over PSI if I had the choice...I've never seen a sub from corey that had a mechanical failure, and everytime I get a price quote from PSI and corey, corey's is always cheaper. I've also had a few occasions where I e-mailed psi and corey the same questions and got two different answers. When I asked why they had different answers corey gave some legit reasons whereas PSI just sorta gave some BS

idk about that spl audio has always been higher on every quote. must think im made of money lol. cant go wrong with psi tho, ive done a custom 18 with him with a motor very similar to yours.loved it.

I wouldnt go with either. try @hispls ; or do it yourself. he can walk you through it. it is quite simple.

Have you had experience with any of them? Not saying Jon does bad work but I've never seen you run either PSI or SPL...

psi is expensive chinese junk. corey does nice work but I would rather do it myself or have jon do it.

The psi recone on my trf sub came apart too easily for me when i tore it apart.

I wouldnt try another recone from them.

You actually don't even need that.

You can take the coil/spider out of the sub now and use that to make a "jig" to ensure the other coil/spider are setup up the same. This will wook 99% of the time and is very quick and easy. Then you can just get the coi, spider, cone, surround, cap you want and go....
