I built a box at 32 hz and it doesn't sound all that great. Would a box at 40hz/28f3 be better? It does only have 32 sq in. of port though. Which box would be better?

How large is the box? Why did you chose to tune 32hz when Soundqubed site recommends tuning higher?

give me the specs of your current box as in length, width, height

and port width and height and length.

The box is 35Wx14.5Hx17.75D. Port is 3.25Wx13H and port wall is 33. It's 3/4 mdf and has a double baffle. Has 45's for bracing. The way I figured it was around 32-33hz. 14 nissan sentra, trunk toward the trunk opening

box specs check out okay, so whats missing in your music? Overall output? not hitting the lows? upper bass punch missing or not getting that choke feel? Sloppy? Or just not hitting a wide range of notes?

You are around 2.7 cubes after displacement. Try putting some 2x4s in the box to take up more space(put a lot in). This should raise the tuning up and create less of a peak at tuning frequency.

It's sloppy and only hits low notes. Or could I make port wall 3-5 inches shorter?

This is my first box build, I wasn't planning on it being 32hz

Think of the box being a regular box w no double baffle, screw and glue one to the front and that's what I got. I messed up on build. I mean it's solid. Btw my camera isn't working today

They have box calculator apps for phone and pc. Try some them. I'm sure @CSCStang can help you out with raising your tuning
