maybe he had a badass install and u had a shit one which made his sound better than yours....... hey leave the guy alone maybe that is the best he has heard. i used to be cruising around with those 8" roadmasters from wal mart.

and by this will is refering to the fact his horriable SQ from his sony's bring down other equipment around them. Thus your Type-R's will def feel the pain and quickly bow down to the sonys.

I used to have Sony Xplods.. the older ones. They weren't bad for my first system. However, soon after getting my new system I smiled quaintly, and alas I realized the difference between quality and crap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm not bashing sony, they have they're higher end subs, which I believe are 1200 watts peak (which they boast in their ads). Again, they really don't campare with the type R's, which have similar power handling. My buddy runs Type R 10's.. sound much better than the sony's I used to have.

What is each sub getting 2 watts? The Circuit City guys down her said the new sony's, the octogon's, were louder than the Type S's. They have a modded 81000d running 4 of them. They said the sony's were 1 db louder.
