Have some questions please....

First of all, hello to all and thanks for having such a great forum! I used to install stuff a long time ago, but that was back in 1989 so I'm sure we may have had some advancements since then! I remember when Mobile 1 first opened in Metairie, LA. Anyway, hopefully I can get some questions answer if ya'll don't mind.

FYI, all of this stuff is for a C5 Coupe:

I've pretty much narrowed my component selection down to Boston Z6s or Focals. I listened to both today and decided that the Focal Utopias **** the Boston Z6s are awesome and the Focal KPs have the edge over the Bostons and are definitely better than the Utopias. So my front components will be the KPs.

Subs: I was told by several different people (installers) that the W6 will be more efficient and hit better and be more clear than the W7 in the C5 Coupe because of the amount of travel the W7 requires. Exact words, the quality of sound the W6 will be better than the W7 (while using the rear storage compartment). So, if I go the W6 route, should I run a 12W6 instead of the 10? Anyone have comments?

Rear channel: Are most here satisfied with just a front stage setup? Or should I put some components in the rear as well like a lower model Focal?

Amps: I will be running a JL 500.1 on the woofer. If I have front and rear channel components should I run 3 amps? Or would a 450.4 do the trick? If I only run the front components, which amp would you recommend?

Exact words, the quality of sound the W6 will be better than the W7

Tom Nousaine thought the W6v2 was the best driver he's reviewed, and I'd have to agree with him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I preferred it over the '7.

I don't think you'll go wrong with a JL two channel amp...

Anyway I think you will be more than happy with the W6v2. I also don't think you need rearfill. Both component sets you have listed are nice. There are quite a few options though in that price range. You may want to do some research on other sets before making that decision. The 500/1 would be a great choice for the W6v2.

Thanks for the quick repsonses! The 500.1 is what will be driving the sub for sure. I'm curious on what to run the Focals with. I'll probably go with another JL but am not sure what size. Thanks again.
