so i took my old amp and put it in my new car my question is can i just use regular speaker wire for the channels? like a regular twin of speaker wire? i know they used some sort of harness i believe but i think the harness is just color coated speaker wire, and if so which do i connect the speaker wire to? the back of the radio harness or the actual car harness? and for the remote wire can i just use speaker wire for that as well? and for power should i run a distribution block or would that cause fire or problems or half the power and i should just run a new power line from the battery so theres two gauge wires one for my already installed mono and one for my 4 channel? sorry if this is already a thread but i couldnt find anything and google isnt much help but maybe because this is like common sense that i dont have. oh one more thing if i just connect the front two component speakers on my 4 channel will it boost the power the speakers say they can handle 150 and the amp is a skar audio (75x4) would it then make it (150x2) or does that only count for the ohms? because i never installed the rears yet since theres like a fitment problem but i also read on here that a lot of people dont even like back speakers.

oh god. i cant even read that.

"speaker wire" is just a certain gauge of wire. You can use it for channels and whatever else you want EXCEPT power/ground wires. that is dependent on how many amps your pulling.

How to determine the best wire gauge
