Has Kenwood ever made a good sub?

Way back in the day Kenwood had an HQ series sub that was decent from what I remember. This was probably 15 years ago easy.Back before I could drive for sure. I wanna say they had a nice cast frame and decent motor. Was beefy for the time period for sure.

They are rated at 300+300, so 600rms. I guess they rate each coil for some reason

I'm a big Kenwood fan and they do make some really nice entry-level stuff, but nothing more than that.. I don't think they have anything over 1500 watts max.
