Has anyone here taken the LSAT for law school?

It took me 3 months to get my last LOC from my bum of a teacher I TA'ed for. Send in applications if you have everything but that, and by the time they receive your stuff from LSAC you will have the last letter. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't know what the standards are these days, but I think that 156 with the GPA you have should get you in a decent, bet not top, law school. And believe me, the LSAT is NOT an accurate indicator of how well you will do in law school.

January is not too late to be applying -- you just don't have any time to spare.

Relax, you will be fine.

if you get a 170 you are in almost any law school with a high gpa. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I could have had the answer key and not received a 170. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i figure I'm going to take the lsat and hope for the best. I have a 3.91 GPA.. with 1.5 years of undergrad left to go.

I'm not really sure i even want to go to law school, but I'm pretty sure one of the grad programs i at least apply to will be USD school of law..

idea of teaching @ college level.. summers off.. sounds nice...

for anyone who is taking the LSAT, don't under estimate it. I breezed through SAT test day with minimal studying and pulled off a few questions shy of a 1300. But this thing is a whole nother animal. I am not one to ever get stressed from a test, but on test day I was literally physically sick from the pressure. The content on the test isn't terribly hard, what is hard is the extreme amount of pressure due to the tight *** time limit they give you. You basically have to take the test at a near rush while doing all these complicated logic problems. So make sure you study enough and know what you are in for. Im almost relieved that I got what I got, since so many people just flat out bomb and then can't even apply anywhere. im just happy i am in a position to still get into some law schools regardless.

Exactly...I think the LSAT was harder than my 1st law school exams I just took. The LSAT seemed to take forever, but each of my 4 hour exams flew by. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

id almost rather go to a school i don't want to be at, and then try to transfer than take this test again. It was that bad. Plus it engulfed my life studying for the stupid thing.

Yep...Kaplan course did nothing for me. I'm telling you pick schools based upon geography, and see what they say. Of course don't pick Colley Law in Michigan. ;)With that GPA and score you could get partial scholarships which do help.

yep, i have heard tons about regional pull. From what i heard basically, if you aren't at a top 14 school or whatever, you just have to go to a school with a strong local pull, and just stay there after school to work. With me, i just want to work in a big big city, honestly i don't really care where it is even. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I just don't want to come out of law school with only like 50k a year offers, that is my only concern.

so come to Nova, ball it up, be in the top of the class, and get some big offers from firms in FTL and MIA. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
