computer not in 256 colors?

as you can see, the color looks like shit. i changed the resolution to 1024x768. the color was fine. the gf didn't like it, so i changed it back to 600x800 and now the color looks like shit. we restarted the computer, changed the resolution back and forth, nothing is working..

The colors look fine in the pic you posted?

Anyway, right click on the desktop and then click on properties, then on settings and change the color quality to 32bit.

everything was much brighter before, and the color right now is on 32 bit.

the kodak easy share icon is supposed to have some red in it, same with the aim icon and the adobe reader.

your vga cable is loose

or your gamma correction settings are out of whack

cause that pic looked fine, reds were as red as can be

Somehow it just fixed itself... the screen started going crazy flickering and the colors went back to normal? anyone know what that could have been and if it might happen again??
