Has anybody?

Ya i know Tim pretty good, steve petty and all them guys. My stock Mach went a 7.8 in the 1/8 which is **** strong for a stock car. 12.9 in 1/4 . my buddies hit 12.8 in 1/4. He pulled a perfect light and xcellent 60 ft, it wont happen again hahahaha. What i was referring too on pushrods is they will have more torque and the cams are more active.

Put you some 80 pound injectors and a T-88 on your GN . we put a T-88 on a fox body 302 and it had 72 pound injectors i think, and it ran 9's . What gears are you running in your rear ?

Sick, Tim's car is fuking ill.

Yeah, I know about the difference in airflow and how DOHC dictates flow and whatnot.

My GN is my DD. It has a TE45(T63mm) hybrid turbo w/ 50lbers and alcohol injection. The gears are 373's but I just put 275/60's on it to lower it down to 343's.

I got a long ways to go before I hit 9's. Right now I am spending as much time as possible reading up and learning about building engines and seeing what works. When I am older, I don't want to have to rely on engine builders to take care of my shit, no offense.

I can telly uo from a professional stand point, and has been proven on my dyno, a home made intake will actually hurt your performance. I had V6 mustangs, Neons, RSX, etc..... come up there and they tried the cheap way out. Its not worth it. they lost 4 MPG and most lost 6 RWHP. If it was possible to make your own and be as good as lets say C&L or K&N, then they wouldn't be in business. On my Mach 1 i actually seen a very nice gian on the K&N setup of 12.3 RWHP. Most cars are lucky to get at the most 6 RWHP. your 4 cylinders will not get much at all, it may help throttle response thats about it. V6 import it helps a little better, and same as domestic, but if you dont have 8 or more cylinders, its best for you to buy a replacement filter thats not foam and you will see about the same increase in power. If you want quaick HP go with a performance chip. DO NOT go with hypertech. Most of the time they will screw your ****** up. Superchips or SCT only way to go.
is that a fact? cuz i made my own cold air intake out of a k&n filter, and 2 18 inch sections of 3 inch aluminum pipe, one with a 45 degree mandrel bend. thats all i had to buy. cost me about 50 bucks, i spent about an hour getting it to fit, and my butt dyno says i gained around 10 hp. it made a DEFINITE improvement. also, ALL readymade "performance chips" are garbage. custom is the only way to go. a lot of these chips you can buy will actually make your car run worse, without adding any power.

x2.

Now the good chip sellers are actually starting to make custom chips. Look at the GN crowd for a good example of what custom chips can do. 11.4 on a 3800lb car with no internal engine mods.

Butt dyno means D I C K. Performance chips are good IF you get the right one. SCT ( Superchips Custom Tuning) which i am a dealer for and have custom tuned many cars including my twin turbo mach is the greatest program since windows. even on a stock car a V6 mustang I have seen a 18 TRUE rear wheel hp gain. The ford GT will get 67 rwhp out of it. Hypertech, JET, and all the cheap shit is nothing but a load of crap. And if you have a N/A 4 cyclinder you wouldnt see 10 hp gain with chip and CAI. Depends on car, how it was setup from factory and such. Also without a tune for the modular engines after putting on a power adder, you might as well not even start it. you HAVE to get a tune for it so you dont fuk up anything.
