Hi, my wifes bluetooth speaker is having troubles and so is her car stereo so I have decided to get both in one. The current stereo is a 4 year old Kenwood HD radio (model unknown) but it is single DIN The original was a Double DIn but Best Buy put in a single DIN mounting Kit that has a shelf underneath it. Taking out the old stereo looks pretty easy (youtube) My question are

1. Do I need a new mounting kit? I am replacing single din with single din

2. Do I have to have a new wiring Harness?

2. Where Do I fing a trim plate? or does the stereo come with one? might the old one work?

The truck is a 2003 Toyo Tundra

The new Stero is a KDC-BT318U I know its not the best but I am on a budget big time

Thanks

Mike

1. You do not need a new mounting kit.

2. Best case it will plug right in since you are going Kenwood to Kenwood. Worst case you cut off the old radio's connector and splice to the pigtails of the new radio's connector. In either case you should not need a "new" harness.

3. The trim plate, screws and misc mounting pieces should come in the box with the new radio.

This is my thought as well. Would be a much better box volume if you could buy the 12" version of those subs.
