Guys with systems in trucks lol.. help!

My amprack is attached to my back wall and I hear 0 vibrations from it, what I do hear at times is the sliding rear window rattle. I raised my rear bench seat up 2" to accommodate two 12" subs under it. Truck is a 2K GMC Sierra Ext cab.

What truck do you have? That too could help.

That's BS- my roof rattles and it gets increasing louder with the bass.
Maybe I'm spoiled, mine only really rattled on anything over 50hz, anything below that got increasingly quiet in terms of rattling, my peak freq was around 35-36 (box was tuned to 34) and I had very little rattling audible inside the cabin, it sounded terrible from outside.

i bought a DD 1515 off of La_Crx and a 600w Planet Audio but when the package got here something had happened to the amp, so i sent the amp back and hes taking care of it. so for the time being i built a box (pretty close to the dimensions Klash/the artist recomended) and its running off of a... sony xplod =/ haha.. but not for very long
Dude, I completely forgot I designed a box for you, never gave you a cut sheet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

pics of the box?

You could also lay fiberglass out across the back wall, to help stiffen it (this works on a roof too), then lay some mat over that. You might want to consider some luxury liner type product there as well, a truck's rear wall tends to let a lot of road noise into the passenger compartment.

i didnt get any pics of the build as i was mostly working by lamp light in my garage lol.. but ill try to snag one of it in the truck. it was such a close fit lol. i ended up tipping it on its side with the port on the bottom in between the two seats so the sub wouldnt rub on the back of the seat

did you do the port-under type thing or did you do the port vertically?

I think it depends on what you want to do cosmetically. Fiberglass seems like a good idea but also seems to me that if ur box is loud enough over time that fiberglass might break free and rattle like crazy?/maybe not I don't know how resin holds up under heavy vibration. Deadener will help but depends on where the rattle is coming from, try to really narrow it down. If it's the window I would thing some kind of rubber coating in the edges where it rattles would work maybe Plasti-Dip clear or silicone. If you wanna put screws through it get some wood and screw that baby in tight maybe a layer of deadening on the inside. Foam or any other filler should help as well.
