Let me clarify. I'm referring to gun control as banning assault rifles, etc. I feel anyone should have the right to own any weapon they choose. I have a switchblade, "prohibited item" in TX, while other people can roll around with shotguns in their gun rack on the back window of thier Lonestar RAM, legally! Doesn't make too much sense to me. The process to purchase a weapon needs to be drastically improved. The leaders of this country should work on that before they just try to put out blanket restricions for everyone.

so how do you propose then, we go through this country of 300 million, and take away all the guns from the inner cities? how then do you prevent people from having guns without violating the constitution? also the government is trying to rid the country of illegal drugs (or so they say) and have they? no. guns will be just like drugs. lots of people will still have them, they'll just be illegal

so how are you going to get illegal guns off of the street?

you wont. so give people the right to carry whatever gun they want with their permit to defend themselves if they ever have to against one of these "illegal" guns or any criminal at that matter.

so now you want to arm high school students? any sane human being has the right to bear arms. the US does not deny competent people to own guns

i said nothing about high school students, i think any teacher or faculty that has a pistol permit should be able to carry concealed in the school.

people in the US have the right to bear arms. if i wanted to, i could go out and buy a gun and get a ccw permit. so what are you trying to say? we already have the right to own firearms and can go own one if we choose.

so youre pretty much saying lets get rid of all guns but blackpowder rifles.

that is horseshit. that would make it easier for any criminal to commit a crime. if they knew any LAW ABIDING citizen(spelling is real bad) had only a rifle or gun that shot one shot at a time, i dont see how they wouldnt rob the shit out of everything and everyone.

if you read those descriptions, you would see that if a teacher or principle had a gun, they could have most likely stopped those attacks.

They should have guns on campus. Most people arnt stupid enough to call it a bluff if they know people around them are armed.

This whole VT shooting is bull, if someone had a gun with them they would have killed that pansy without as much loss of life taking place then what happened. If they increase gun control, how the hell are they going to keep weapons from getting in the wrong hands?[b/]

All those people might as well have had targets painted on them, its bull that they had to hide and fear for their lives without even having a chance to fight back.

 

If shit like this doesnt convince people to get a CCW, then I dont know wth to say. If any one of you were at VT and saw this dumb@ss shooting, would you have trouble deciding to shoot the guy?

 

I dont think thats too difficult a choice to make. Given a moment to shoot, id take it.

If these cowards didnt have weapons I bet most wouldnt commit crimes in the first place. Imagine if you actually had to fight with your hands. Most for these "thugs" wouldnt act the way they do. Right to bear arms, it is what it is. But I know to many people the have been shot and/or murdered.

like i said above, let the teachers and faculty (over 21 because thats the age up here you need to be able to obtain a pistol permit) and let them conceal carry in schools. i think a lot of those scenarios could have been stopped if teachers or faculty could carry concealed
