If these cowards didnt have weapons I bet most wouldnt commit crimes in the first place. Imagine if you actually had to fight with your hands. Most for these "thugs" wouldnt act the way they do. Right to bear arms, it is what it is. But I know to many people the have been shot and/or murdered.

you are an idiot. CRIMINALS will get guns no matter what. its not them you are restricting guns from. ITS THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS you are penalizing and taking away from in these gun control laws.

like i said above, let the teachers and faculty (over 21 because thats the age up here you need to be able to obtain a pistol permit) and let them conceal carry in schools. i think a lot of those scenarios could have been stopped if teachers or faculty could carry concealed

I totally agree. If a competent teacher/professor/principal has the right to carry, it could possibly put an end to something before it gets out of hand.. ie classroom doors chained and everyone inside shot.

They should have guns on campus. Most people arnt stupid enough to call it a bluff if they know people around them are armed.
This whole VT shooting is bull, if someone had a gun with them they would have killed that pansy without as much loss of life taking place then what happened. If they increase gun control, how the hell are they going to keep weapons from getting in the wrong hands?[b/]

there is no way to get guns out of this country. they tried to abolish alcohol and that didn't work. people will smuggle in guns from other countries, then only your true idiot will be armed and not normal people who are responsible with guns. i lived in the inner city and knew lots of people who had guns but none of them had them legally. they found ways to obtain them. now since you are so hellbent on ridding the country of guns, explain your plan to comb a country of 300 million to get rid of guns. not to mention how you are not going to violate the fundamental principles our founding fathers set forth. if they take away our right to bear arms, then where does it stop? then we'll transition into a communist country

and thats whats screwed up about the gun control laws. you cannot take guns in certain buildings because of whatever reason. sure anyone who FOLLOWS THE LAW will abide by them. its the criminals who dont care about their lives or anyone elses is who is going to do dumb things in those buildings where THEY KNOW NO ONE WILL HAVE ANY WAY OF DEFENDING THEMSELVES

This guy lived for 23 years. He brought a gun in march of 2007. May of 2007 33 dead. He WAS a law abiding citizen. That purchased a gun legally. Ask the parents of the murdered kids about restricing the sale of guns.

that's why they need to better security on the campus. arming teachers is not the answer. i would be very uncomfortable knowing someone in the classroom was packing heat

i wouldnt at all. its a judges decision to give someone a pistol permit. they get background checks, etc. before they even get it
