ok im working on a 1970 chevy impala and i got my whole cut to run my ground to the frame but drilling this whole is a B***h. i have one of those step drill bits and a black n decker 18v drill and im not making that much progress. is there any other or better tool i need, or tricks of the trade that yall can help me with, any will help thanx

not enough 0awg wire to run a secondary from the neg on the battery. the kit only came with about 4ft but i have some extra at the house but not long enough

Step bit ***** for drilling anything but sheet metal. Frame is much thicker, so get some real drill bits. Start with 1/8", then go up to 1/4" or whatever size bolt you plan to use.

Man, I sure have something for you. I can't let the cat out of th bag just yet though. I know that doesn't help you much at the moment. Lol.

If you don't get it figured out in the next day or two, shoot me a PM.

i question your ability's .........

A unibit a real one not some cheap harbor frienght bit will go through a frame like butter once you drill a pilot hole however usually

I can find a pre existent hole to use with a 3/8" bolt somewhere on the frame

open your eyes a little ,old chevys have lots of holes

I use titanium or nitride coated high speed drill bits. Anything else seems to dull in no time.

BTW the frame is actually a lousy ground... there's no direct connection from the frame to the battery. You'll have to make that connection yourself. Motor mounts are rubber.
