I think most people understand why foreign auto companies decided to locate their plants in places like TN, AL and MS. These areas are historically not too sympathetic to unions. So, if you are an autoworker in a location that has a history of having auto plants, you can already thank the union for the foreign plants being located elsewhere.

I highly doubt a foreign would've came into Detroit regardless of unions.

they can build a few more foreign auto plants in my state. i won't complain. unlike the average person from the north we will actually work hard for our money and not expect them to take care of our great great great grandkids. unions are worthless and are going to cause a lot of problems all over the united states. best bet would be to get rid of all of them. and put all the morons in charge of them causing the problems in prison for being ignorant.

yea, even they know how bad it sucks in the northern part of the US. i'm glad i don't have to live there and deal with all those ignorant people on a daily basis.

I was surprised to hear from a union expert that less than 10% of the total cost of a car coming of the assembly line is wages.

I have no problem with the tax payers paying more for bankruptcy procedures and paying for my family's pensions and health care. Without the Big 3, I would qualify for government assistance and will knock up some broad and draw Medicaid, WIC, food stamps and any other assistance.

The Big 3 need restructured BEFORE they take loans. It costs almost 1800 dollars more to make a GM car than a Honda and those costs have nothing to do with actual manufacturing costs. Can't let them go under but we can't let them go on as they are...only one out of the big 3 who would survive without the bail out is Ford..and in their statements it almost sounds like they are more against the bail out now so they don't have to compete with the other 2:laugh:

The Big 3 need restructured BEFORE they take loans. It costs almost 1800 dollars more to make a GM car than a Honda and those costs have nothing to do with actual manufacturing costs. Can't let them go under but we can't let them go on as they are...only one out of the big 3 who would survive without the bail out is Ford..and in their statements it almost sounds like they are more against the bail out now so they don't have to compete with the other 2:laugh:

Ford wouldn't survive. If GM goes out, their suppliers lose huge contracts, and those same suppliers have contracts with Ford. Those suppliers go out of business and totally screw up Ford's supplier network.

They don't have ca.com to post on while they are on the clock. They also don't have 59 minute rules, and you are clearly ignorant of what goes on in a factory. When your line breaks down or you run out of parts, there isn't work for you to do.
