if all of what you said is true, then return it i guess..... don't know what else to tell ya... Maybe your HU is going out....? If your confident, it's not your HU, then i guess it's the amp....

one last thing to do, is to see what voltage your getting at the amp from your battery upfront. Do this by placing the Leads on the Battery & ground terminals of the amp, set the DMM to DC voltage, and see what you see..... should read over 13v with the car on

meh i doubt its my hu because last week i had a temp amp (punch 801s) hooked up to it and it was louder than this amp, but thanks for the help.

should I turn the gain all the way up?? then slowly ease bass boost?

turn your gain all the way up, with your bass boost off and see if it pounds.... If that 801s hits harder than this amp, than something is obviously wrong with the amp

Found my power wire going to my fuse block was shorting when it hit hard. The terminal was black.

Fixed it. Wow, awesome amp for the money.
