I've done it all, and in the end, Fiberglass resin with a layer of mat in the corner, while being overkill, keeps everything in place, seals the box quite well, and smells like ***....

Works for me.

Espically when working with hybrid glass wood boxes, nothing holds all those pieces togerher with the rings than the resin-mat combo...
