Unless I get a stubborn prick, then the drill and the coarse DW screws get used.

I dont think you understand.... wood glue forms a CHEMICAL bond... MUCH stronger than gorilla glue... by ALOT. Not saying gorilla glue cant hold a box together, it will, but wood glue is the best option. Talk to anyone that knows about construction, they'll tell you wood glue.
I never said anything about gorilla glue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif you did, I understand what they are aying I was saying what I(not taking peoples words for it) expierienced with a certain construction adhesive that I used compared to wood glue. never did I say anything about gorilla glue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Actually your comparing apples to oranges here my brothers. Gorilla glue, titebond, and and any of the assorted other brands of glue are just that, glue. Silicon caulk or sealant on the other hand is a sealant. Two different applications for two different products. Most glues say it right on the bottle somewhere for bonding purposes only not for filling gaps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When I was 12 I used a glue stick and nails...didnt work too well.
I say tightbond and silicone

lol at that.

how long did it hold up.. long enough to get it in the car?

got pictures?

i bet it looked real good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Njack2AF used gorilla glue for his XXX box, i know i helped him build it ;P. Seemed to work ok, he didnt have any complaints of leaks or anything

And the expansion of it won't make a difference on the piece fitting, that's what the screws are for...

That sh*t does **** tho, you can't get it off of your skin. once it dries, your skin goes with it lol.

I would suggest wood glue & silicone though, wood glue forms creates a chemical bond in the wood and the silicone will seal up the inside. The gorilla glue is just an extremely strong adhesive.

thanks for that bit ramos //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and yes, gorilla glue isn't a dedicated wood glue anyway thus most carpenters use wood glue when makign their items //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
