Just one of those versus your 3 w6's? The w6's are no slouch on SPL for a SQL type woofer and 3 of them is serious cone area. ~339 cu inches of cone for the JL's versus ~176 cu inches on a 15. 450+ cu inches if you get 4 w6's.

Dunno where you are with money. That is, if you need to fund your amp and 15" purchase by selling your w6's and 1000/1. But $500 or so on a kx or zx 2500.1 plus another w6 for $330 would be nice.

I think it would edge out a single BTL. And the w6's should be way ahead of the game on SQ compard to the BTL. About the same box size too. BtL would take a little less room tho. BTL route is cheaper tho.

good advice.....whats the difference between the kx and the zx.....where are they available for 500. I saw a zx on ebay for 938 plus like 20 for shipping(wish i bought that instead of the 1000/1 originally.) are they both a true 2500 watts rms?

At any rate...I would sell the 1000/1, 1 12W6, get a used Incriminator 20.1, a new ported box, and I bet it would be SIGNIFICANTLY louder than the three sealed with 500 each. You wouldnt even have money out of pocket. Oh, and of course get a good battery and do the big 3

there is your problem, if your dimming bad then your amps are not getting the juice they need to give good hard bass. doesnt matter what subs you buy you are limited by your cars electrical ability, you NEED to improve your cars electrics BEFORE you will get any louder.the 1000/1 jl amps are power hungy, you might get a little improvement useig a very efficient class d amp, but a ho alt is probably your best bet.

big 3 might help and cant hurt, test your battery also, and maybe get a new one if your current 1 is not strong. ho altinators are all over the place some good reviews and some bad, only thing i can say about them is i have heard not all of them do good voltage (14v) at idle.depends if you want to bump when driving or parked? also the jl 1000/1 is a phuking sexy amp and way better than most, i wouldnt sell it, id give it the juice it NEEDS and it wont dissapoint you. i bet if you get your electrics up and strong you will hear about a 40%+ increase in volume and general quality of your sub stage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the problem is that the 1000/1 cant handle 3 of them properly, or can it.....and later on if after i do my electric upgrade I might want to add another w6, i don't want to have to buy another amp. I'd rather get one quality amp that'll be versatile enough to handle my wattage needs.....
