What works best between an Equalizer and Crossover. Or do they perform different features. Or do I even need them with my set up which is.

HU: Pioneer DEH-P3800MP

Front stage: Crystal Mobile Sound SSCS-6 - 6.5

Rear stage: Crystal Mobile Sound SSX-692 - 6 x 9

Amp: Niche Audio NA880E 4 Channel

I just finshed a raggy *** box for two Rockford Fosgate P110S4 and need amp for them. Please do not talk bad about my system, thanks...

they do different things.

EQ adjust different frequencies to account for dips|peaks in your vehicle.

Crossover splits the output into different sections for direct signal amplification.

some people eq before XO, others(that can afford all the eq's) EQ after the crossover.

Which would work for my setup, if either?
EQ right now, and don't worry too much about rear fill speakers. EQ the front stage.

Active Crossovers come into play down the line when you don't have matched drivers from a set.

Some digital units combine EQ/XO into one unit. AudioControl is one.

So I could take the amp off of the rear and hook up the subs in there place allowing the HU to run the rear. I will look around for an EQ. Thanks alot djman37...
