Good daily workout tips?

One of the hardest things about losing weight is having self-control when it comes to snacking. I really suggest planning out what you are going to eat for the day ahead of time, and only eat that. Like someone said, small meals spread throughout the day. A couple eggs for breakfast, something like a granola bar as a snack, a light lunch, another granola bar, and then a dinner with a half portion of what you normally eat, with a veggie side, and some like rice or mashed potatoes. Cut back on condiments, also. They add more calories that you probably don't need.

Good stuff. One thing I did was to quit having snacks after what I considered to be dinner. I stay up late, and I would end up basically having fourth meal out of boredom and a little hunger.

I also cut out boxed foods. If I can't afford to get it fresh, I grab things that can be frozen. No canned vegetables, no Kraft Mac and Cheese, and no canned meats. I hit the grocery store and buy food a week at a time. A bag of brown rice, a loaf of bread, a couple bags of veggies, a dozen eggs, 6-7 burgers, 4 chicken breasts, a couple pieces of fish, and a box of granola bars. If you only keep these things around the house, it is easier not to snack.

It seems like you are on the right track. Just keep hitting the gym EVERYDAY for no less than 30 minutes.

and for dinner i have pasta with ground up hamburger mixed in, and extremely light alfredo sauce
Only use one cup of noodles, uncooked, half a cup of sauce, and the equivalent of one burger patty. The first time I actually measured food, I realized that I was eating TWICE or more what a healthy amount was. I tricked myself into thinking I was being healthy, until I looked at portion sizes.

Eat a nice big steak with a hamburger and lift some free weights

your only 175 lbs

You are critiquing yourself way too much. If you think you are overweight thats crazy..

thats what sucks is portion sizes. all growin up i was told to finish everything on the plate, dont waste food. im realizing now, that i eat ALOT. not really much crappy(ier) foods, but just alot OF food.
