i need to buy a set of winter rims and tires for my beetle because unfortunately i'm probably going to have to drive it through winter this year and i don't want to put my new rims through that so..

since i changed my bolt pattern when i put disc brakes on, i'm going to need new ones as my original wheels no longer fit.

but i was kind of hoping i could get something like these cheap(ish) since they're oem wheels...

basically my question is, do these rims have a name so i can look for them easier? all i know is they came with the GTI

And those wheels are off the 04-05 GLI. I think they're BBS made as well, so if you want the real deal, probably kind of a waste of money for winter wheels, that are probably going to get torn up anyway.

5 x 100. and i don't have my heart set on them, i was just thinking if i could get them cheap and used, i'd go for it. i just don't want some nasty new beetle bubble wheels lol

I bet you could find a similar knockoff at wheelmax or some other cheap online place.. I personally just rock the steelies all winter because driving in the winter those rims are going to be flaking and looking like shit after a winter of two which means you could probably spend it on something else you would rather have for the car.

Eh, any MKIV wheels will work, jetta, golf, or beetle.

i believe those are the monte carlos II. you can find them for around 400 used sometimes with tires. the place to check would be vwvortex.com under the wheel and tire classified section. but another thing you want to check is back spacing. i think you might have to use a spacer with those but its been so long since i messed w/ aircooled i can't remember?
