I'm bout to get a raise at work and I'm thinking a newer vehicle is in the cards now.

I can't decide what route I want to go; save 3-4k and buy something decent or put that toward a load for about 8k and get what I've been wanting.

What I really want is a 98-00 BMW 323is; black 2 door coupe. I found one like 7k with only 43k miles on it. I'm also looking at 00-04 cadillac sts.. maybe and explorer so I can get loud easy.

I just want some oppinions on my ideas so far, and what would you do if all you had was 6-8 grand to spend on a car?

I was the same way with BMW myself, until I talked to actual owners at work. I work at a parts house so I here review on pretty much ever vehicle on the road. I had one owner of a 00 3 series come in and i was told him parts gotta be a pain in the azz. He told me "well if the only thing your replacing in 160k miles is a light bulb, then I don't mind"... thats what got me thinking about BMW. I'm also looking at the fact im in college and girls are plentiful... its gotta be an "attractive" car lol

I work for Budget Rental Car, and lemme tell you, the STS' have shit for trunk space....not big enough for even a single 10", lol.

BMW's maintenance, what a joke....we get their service drive customers...and let me tell you, their repair bills are insane...for the littlest of things, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif.

Buy a nice Explorer, Blazer Xtreme, on the cheap, and stick some wheels on it...IMHO..

x2...but if you want a luxuary foreign[sp] car, i would reccomend a VW becasue they are a little more americanized, and easyier to find people to work on, and find parts for. Otherwise a 2000ish audi A6 or A4 (I have an A6 and i love it! i dont know if they still do it, but in mine they located the battery under the back seat which makes it real easy to run stuff from ur battery to ur trunk (less than 4 feet of wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Worst reason to buy a car if your money isn't right IMHO.

I'd buy an MG Midget, but that's just me, I'm not looking to impress anyone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
