Look on ebay for car alarms. they are insanely cheap now and you can get lcd ones for like 150. They got a badass talking lcd one for like 170... i want that one.

I've been looking up alarms myself...Viper is nice, and you can get one with the LCD for a bout 230, but the warranty is voided if not prof. installed...thats like another 150...

I still dont understand ... I mean I've heard of brains going bad but it would be cheaper to buy another brain than pay 150 for instalation..

Btw what do they consider professional...like MECP certified or Viper Authorized Dealers?

yeah 240 is the same I had seen...I just looked around and saw everyones prices for it as 499 installed(so 150 install)...and its says "professionally"

btw anyone know how far the lcd remote works on vipers?

other brands I've seen have 2500 or 3000ft

I have a Viper 790xv w/ remote start, windows up/down, etc.. I am an MECP Certified "Professional" installer at a shop. DEI considers professional a viper authorized installation dealer.

Also, the responders work from quite a distance away. I am VERY happy with mine. I am also happy with the expandibility of mine. LIke i said, i have remote start, windows up/down, neons turning on by remote (611T latching/timed relay), and a dual field proximity sensor (508D). I couldn't be happier with my system.

Where did you get your from?..windows up/ down come with it? or an add on..same with the neon switch and proximty....IM me at Paul3230Kent

Not sure what all you would need for that particular year off the top of my head. It depends on the lock system on it. If i am not mistaken, you may have a 5 wire (type C) polarity reversing system. If so, you will need a 451M (or a manually wired if the 451M isn't available) lock relay.

Let me ask you this, does it have factory keyless entry/security??
