Hi, I was thinking of picking up this amp and was wondering if it was any good, and would work to drive the woofers I want, and if not I was wondering what would be a good amp for around the same price

Power Acoustik BAMF-5500

Specs:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_14906_Power+Acoustik+BAMF-5500-1D+-BAMF55001-D-.html#

These are the sub woofers I'm going to buy, I'm going to pick up 2 of them and no I'm not paying $400 a piece for them, I've got a hookup

JVC Arsenal CS-AW8240

Specs:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105SAW8240/JVC-Arsenal-CS-AW8240.html?tp=111

any advice/help would be greatly appreciated, as I still pretty new to the car audio world, ooh and also according to a sub woofer wiring diagram I found on the internet, I should be able to run those woofers in a 1/2-1 ohm (it said 1/2 ohm on 1 site, and 1 ohm on another) configuration, so that is what I will be doing

I'm Getting the subs for $180 a piece (as i said Ive got a hookup), I'm still deciding on what amp I'm going to use, and if there is some better woofers for like $200 a piece let me know, I'm open to suggestions ,if anyone knows of a good sub/amp combo for like $500-$700 let me know, I'm still researching different things, and nothing is set in stone as of right now,

:what about this amp

Hifonics BXI 2610D

Or this one:

Audiopipe AP30001D

Well for that 500-700, how many/what size woofers are u looking into running... Also do u have any kind of electrical upgrades done. Running an amp like an AP 3000D daily will have sum nasty voltage drops on a stock electrical.

I most likely going to be using 2 JVC Arsenal CS-AW8240

12 -inch

Impedance 2 ohms

Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet) 1.79

Sensitivity 86.19 dB at 1 volt

Frequency Response 20 - 500 Hz

RMS Power Range (Watts) 500-1600

Peak Power Handling (Watts) 3000

And as for the electrical system, I have a 84 Diesel Suburban With 2 200 amp alternators, and 2 1200Amp Batteries (it was originally a 24 volt system but I swapped it out for a 12V system) So basically I just need to run some monster wire to the back and it should be fine, and also upgrade the other wires under the hood (battery to alternator etc) would it be safe to run 0 Gauge with that amp?

What would be a good set of subs for like $200, and yes my truck is a huge pig, its in another county as of right now, it broke down by my buddies, and is sitting in his driveway, I went muddling with it, and the fuel pump decided to die in like 2' of mud (that was fun pulling that out), so I'm going to have to see about getting pics, I've got pics of my "pimp" wagon-by the way I have a lot of vehicles, I buy "broke down" cars/trucks, fix them and sell them

Ill list em

88 Rx7 (working on Chevy 350 swap)

2002 grand prix Gt

87 chevy c10 1/2ton

84 suburban 3/4 ton 4X4

92 Buick roadmaster estate wagon (it does good brake stands, and i only paid $50 for it)

93 ranger (my Go cart)

92 grand prix se

79 camaro berlinetta

87 camaro sport coupe

96 Chevy Lumina (it has 367,000 miles, and still going strong!)

92 Explorer

96 Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition

For that price I would stick with those subs. I doubt anyone recommending to not get them has heard them...

Your final load will be 1ohm. Well 1 or 4 but you will want to go with a final 1ohm load.

As far as amps, the audiopipe is a decent budget amp as well as the hifonics. So it's really up to looks and price.
