Good amp for $150 or less

I have 2 sundown e-12d4s V2 and I have them Hooked up to a rockford prime 500.1d amp really want to get a 1200+ watt amp to run the sundowns. I been thinking about either an Audiopipe apsm1500 or a hifonics Zeus. Any suggestions would be help. Thanks

no. just no.. zues is the garbage dump of hifonics along with the apsm line of audiopoop. If you have to get a hifonics, get a used brutus.

IMO - for those of us trying to get functionality on a budget there's nothing wrong with cheap HF OR AP. You just have to be aware of a little over-ratedness.

The ap1500 doesn't quite do 1k.

The zrx12 is probably about the same.

But realistically - 100-200w when you're at 1kw won't make much of an audible difference.

Yea I know all that I'm not really worried that they are overrated I just want about 500-600 watts running for each sub and I think both will be able to do that. If anything I'll save up for a sundown saz that seems like a pretty ****** amp

I use the Audiopipe line all the time for banging on a budget builds people spend money on better subs and have to tighten down the wallet when it comes to an amp... The APSM 1300 would be a bit small for what you want rating 1k but doing about 850ish rms the APSM 1500 I use all the time on a pair of Atomic MA12D4s and it pushes them very nice... never clammed the amp but would guess 1200-1250 rms and I use the APSM2000 On MA15D4s and that pushes them with no problem guessing again around 1700-1800rms. Never can go wrong with one for the price hands down use them before Zues IMO... Brutus would be a hair better due to the higher output closer to rated power but jump in price may not be worth it to you... all depends on how much room you have to $ with... Really tight on a budget get a left over SSL 2ch amp EV2.000 will do what you need all day long 2ohm stereo and think I saw them going for 110-120 bucks! Tossed one in a buddy's ride on 2 RE Audio SRX12D4s and it had more then the subs could ever take.
