Good 10" Sub needed for a '91 Toyota Pickup

Hey all,

New to these forums. Just recently I replaced my older Pioneer HU with a new Pioneer DEH-860MP. I'm loving it. However, my old 1000w Legacy AMP and my cheap 10" Pioneer sub, need an upgrading. I have VERY limited space behind my seat, and was looking for a good replacement.

I was looking at the ORION 4002 and an Infinity Perfect 10.1. I 'think' I'll just barely be able to squeeze this in. Are there any other 10 inch subs that have good SQ and decent SPL(Looking for more than my pioneer now), that have 6in mounting depths or less?

pioneer has a shallow mount subwoofer line now, Earthquake does also. Both are on ebay for lowest prices. I think their around only 3 inches depth.

I would need a slight taller box then I have now...heck I might just be able to cut out the 10 inch hole and make it into a 12. This thing needs a .6 to .8 Ft^3 box. I think mine is a .75 Ft^3

man ima go ahead n tell ya i had a 93 yota truck standard cab and i could easily stick 4 re8s back there with the bench seat and buckets theres more room in there than the truck i have now, but if u dont want 8s, you could fit a pair of the never kicker comp 10s back there very easily and it'll sound pretty good as well

if your gonna spend 130 on a sub i'd say get like some memphis power refernce 10s, i seen a guy fit a pair of mtx thunder4500 12s behind his seat and hes like 5 10"

like seriously i had one of those bigass prefab truck boxes and i had 2 12 mtx thunder 4000s in it ( i was 15-16) it beat thoi think i had a jbl power 1200 i think it was on it..
