going active with 2 channels?

****it, i really dont have the ear for this kinda stuff lol. im so bad with it its not even funny. maybe because i never really focused on the high end tweaking as much as the sub...
i CAN send my xovers in for replacement but i dont want to go another 6 months without frontstage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif rainbow was f*cking around with my gear for 6 months and im just finally getting it back tomorrow.
Its really not that hard man, I can coach you if you are willing to work out a deal...or even if you go with an outboard crossover/processor I can still coach you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Look into the Memphis 16-x03 I think...has a high pass for tweet , bandpass for the mid, and lowpass for the sub if that matters at all...can be found for

ok nice. so would i need anything else?
any idea how much power i should feed each driver?
Those are just the basics...once you start getting a little advance then you need to gain match each driver, add Time alignment, etc which would warrant a new deck...
I would say start very low and carefully work your way up. Keep an eye on the mids excursion especially and high pass it no lower than 80hz to start with...

Be careful with the tweet unless you can find out what the FS is...personally I would go no lower than 3500hz with the amount of power you have to work with...just experiment...

see i dont think i can do it that way cause i couldnt tell if im overpowering them just by ear alone. my HU does have TA, but i havent really used it yet. mids need to be crossed @80 because theyre the kick versions. can i just set everything to work like the passive xover would? i believe it says on rainbows site that the tweet and woofer both can take 100wrms. so i guess thats how much power i should give them...?

Just set your gains to 100rms to each then...maybe 75 for the tweeter. As for the crossover try the tweeter highpass @ 4000hz and the woofer lowpass @ 3500hz...you should be fine...

i wouldnt send that much to a tweeter.

you can set a tweeter by ear generally since they shouldnt need more then 25w to get louder then you will need so i strongly doubt you will exceed the tweeters thermal handling setting it by ear.

Thats a broad generalization...totally depends on the sensitivity of the tweeter, install, and user preference...
BTW that link says 3200hz @ 12db per octave...if you want to be safe just don't go lower than that...
