Girlfriends system...

My girlfriend just asked me to build her a system. I've got about $130 to spend on a single 10 or 12. She listens to mostly rap but pop and other music aswell. She wants it to get loud sq isn't much of a factor she's tone def and turns her speakers way over what I would call a decent listenting level. But I also have to drive in the car i don't don't want somthing that sounds like crap. I've been thinkin about a Type R compcvR and a IA 187. Are these decent or is there more bang for her buck? Also the amp I havn't bought yet so it depends on the sub I was leanin towards profile cuz I've owned one and really liked it.

type R would rprolly be your best bet since it can get prety loud with a decent amout of power, havent heard a compvr tho. but i can vouch for the type being a **** good woofer espically for your budget

I've always like 1 sub more then 2. Plus this is goin in a civic hatch and she always has tons of shit in it. Thats why I was thinkin the 187 would be the best with a profile ap1000m 310x1@4ohms in a 1cu box.

I did a 12" Kicker Comp ported to 32hz and a Lanzar 150x2 in my ex's car. She loved it.

you might try a RE Audio SE series sub...that is what is in my girls car...a little over your budget though...I have heard 4 IA 187s and those sounded really good too...got loud.

i would say a Kicker CompVR.. I have one and it can get pretty loud with right setup...worth the money i think

I heard the infinity perfect vq was nice for the money. I heard the old ones and they sounded good and loud for the price. Just my 2 cents. Later

Was gonna say get the Pionner Premier 3002, since you want 1 sub. Then I seen what kind of watts you are looking at. So on that I would look at the 187's or the kicker comps. The Pioneer would be awesome, but call for 1000rms on a 12". So would need a decent amp. Peace!

Ive heard the the CVR and the Type R. I didn't like either too much, but thats all that I've seen any1 out here get because they dont know anything about car audio. She'll like either, but maybe a CVR more cause from what I've heard those are always louder but should like pure ***. My friend has 3 Type R's and they were decently loud but I didn't like the bass they gave off. Definately sounded better than any CVR I've heard tho. They were just weird to me, but thats prolly cause Im used to the Mags. My vote goes to the Type R's tho cause I'd never buy a CVR.
