Girl in need of some help!!!

Do you have a power antenna? if so wire up the solid blue to the solid blue in your wiring harness....
if the pioneer harness doesn't have a solid blue, use the blue/white to the blue

is your antenna lead plugged in?
I dont have a power antenna. it always standing on its own. i did plug it into the deck. i just left the blue wires not hooked up cause i wasnt sure of them...im going to do this in the morning ive been working on it since noon...man its soo easy installing a stereo...yes im lame but soo proud of myself

double check that your antenna plug is properly connected and has not been cut in the past and re attached. this happened in one of my cars and took me forever to figure it out. did you replace another aftermarket head unit or the factory head unit?

The car was my step mothers for many years with just a factory stereo inside. i will take a look to see if has been cut. Yes i replaced the factory stereo with a aftermarket stereo.

Um hold up i think i plugged the "wired remote input" and not the anteena. btw what the heck is a wired remote input and what is it used for? Do i have to buy a anteena for the deck if it wasnt provided?

ooh, fix that imediately.

That is to turn on external devices such as processors and amps and lights... anything 12v.

And no, no need to purchase antenna.

By you having the remote tied to the antennae lead on the factory harness would explain why there would be exceptional noise and fuzziness in the reception.

keep this on topic or you will be banned //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
i applaud the moderation. its nice for once to be able to help a girl out thats into car audio and willing to do something herself without having to sift through "pics of bewbs or ban" posts. A+ for you chief.

OP good luck with your problem. ur absolutely positive that its completely plugged in the the HU. sometimes it seems it is but needs to be pushed in a little more, ive done that a couple times.

Wired remote input is usually for a steering wheel control interface. Depending on the car, you may have an amplified antenna that needs a trigger (blue wire) connected to work. You may also need to ground the antenna to get it to work right
I've grouned my black wires is that what you mean!? Dammit this is harder then i thought

do you have a camera u could take a picture of the wires on the back of the cd player and we could help you alot more because its your first time and you may not know all the car audio "slang" if you do im sure i or we can help you in the matter of a few seconds
