DMM Sensitivity

Well after buying my el cheapo DMM from Home Depot, I attempted to set my gains property using the DMM. Long story short, I am not getting a reading when I put the probes on the speaker terminals but when I test it on my battery and power/ground wire from the amp I get a read out. I am just curious that my DMM is just shitty and cant pick up on the voltage coming from the speaker terminals? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Thx in advance.

Yeah you wouldnt have any voltage unless you are playing a song or tone

If your setting up subs grab a tone around 40-50Hz 0dB and loop that on your cd player, then check for a voltage. Obviously if your tuning speakers grab a higher frequency

Sorry for the late response, I will post a pic when I get a chance which is most likely tomorrow. Yes I am using a sine wave that I got from ROE, but like I said I will post pics tomorrow to see if I am doing something wrong and thx for the responses.
