Getting new car--RSX type S ?

Yeah right now its looking like I'll be getting the RSX type-S then...unless I could test drive a supercharged tC sometime soon...in those articles it says the supercharged versions are expected to arrive in April (old articles) and now its May..where are they !?!??! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

rsx>tC>celica. rsx has a slow bottom end, but once u hit vtec, that shit is just awesome. tC has nice low end torque so it picks up pretty quickly, but top end is crap. (celica = cheapest)
I pretty much agree, driving the tC around alot now, i love it... i would definitely take an RSX over a tC any day though. It looks pretty sick though... Once you hit 3rd gear in the tC though, there IS a serious lack of power, especially compared to Honda / Acura cars with VTEC. I'm sure 0-30 its faster than an RSX (maybe even than a Type S), but 30-70... no way, and beyond 70? Not a chance. RSX would win.

Talking stock of course.

In a few months (i talked to the Scion guy when i bought mine) they will have the TRD supercharger as an add-on at the dealership. However, its not available currently. I'm sure there are aftermarket superchargers out by now, and i know for a fact Turbochargers are, i've seen them.

All in all a GREAT car, i really like the interface on the tC's console, its very simple, by no means elegant, but gets the job done. The RSX interface / console is real nice, Acura quality of course.

And you really can't beat Acura for reliability, easily the most reliable car manufacturer that there is.

Just my 2 cents...

get the RSX,
fast cars > big cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
big fast cars > small fast cars

about the reliability thing, acura did have a big ****** issue a while back (2000-2003), with some of their models like the TL but i think this is no longer an issue with there newer models.

just thought i'd let you know.

If you really wanted a tC but had doubts just because it was a little on the weak side ZPI is going to be releasing a TurboKit for it. Actually they already pre-released a few of them for scionlife.com members but a Stage 3 kit can get you mid 400 whp.

More details are here: http://scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=59080&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

It may seem like i'm trying to make you get a tC but I'm just trying to open up some options for you.

However it would be less of a hassle to just get a Type S.
