Got a question.. The sub didnt come with a wiring guide, is what determines the ohms, the amp? It should have a wiring guide with it right?

Hey just got everything in should be hooking it all up this coming monday! Anyways, I have heard you need to break these subs in, can you give me a general area I should but things like gain and stuff? Also how long does it need to be broken in enough to pump the full 1000W to it?
