Getting a better system, need some opinions.

Yeah, I'm sure you should expect a bit of a wait from any one of these guys. They're all very busy with getting/fulfilling requests, and I know that at least a couple of them also have to run businesses, build boxes, pay their employees, etc.
Any idea's deadeye?

I just ordered the sub and the amp. I keep seeing people say that it takes 1kw but wants more. I ordered the D1, can I put the 1500W from the audiopipe onto it after it's broke it? I saw a video the kid is flexing his whole car almost with one of these subs, and a 1200W @1ohm. Is there much of a difference between 1000W @ 2 ohms and 1200W @ 1ohm?
what kind of amp did you get ? so im assuming your going to run that amp at 2 ohms? bc your sub is d1 so you have two choices wire it down to .5 ohms or 2 ohms...

Oops sorry, v6 3.8 L
Alright, it looks like your alternator is rated at 130A. That seems fine. After you check your wire, let me know everything that's written on the outside jacket. Assuming it's decent wire, you should be fine.
i wouldn't say he's fine i have a dx1000 running at 2 ohms for 1000 watts and it's pretty hard on my electrical and i have a 2003 v6 3.8 L mustang. the audiopipe at one ohm is going to draw a lot more current

Running the audiopipe aspm 1500 monoblock amp at 2 ohms.

My brother has an APSM1500 in his stang. He's running at two ohms, as well. He's fine. No problems. Do your big three, though. And if your wire isn't great, I'd upgrade to Knukoncepts Kollosus Flex. You can do your big three in that, too. I bought 26' for $48 shipped. Measure, find out how much you need, and order a lil extra... jus in case.

Have you done the big three? What gauge wire are you running? And he's going to be running his amp at 2.

OP, seems like you're well on your way to a nice, cheap, and loud setup.

i've got the ground to the big 3 done and i have 4 gauge wire but that's it so far and yeah i just saw he was running it at 2 ohm instead of 1 so he should actually be fine. i thought he was going to run it at 1 but 2 will be ok

It's a 4 gauge wire goin to the battery. What happens if I don't do the big three? Will it be bad with just my one sub and 1000W pull from the amp? Am I able to leave it stock now, and then if I ever put another sub in, change it then?

Is there already pre made big three wires you can get? Or do you have to buy the wire, and the endings for it to be able to attach it?

Also I watched this was it a decent look at how to do it?

Without doing the big three, there's more of a chance that your wire will heat up. Heat = wasted energy

You should do it regardless. I did the big three in my car before installing just a 100Wx2 amp. There are no big three kits available as far as I know, but 15' should be more than enough to do it in your car. You should use Knu 4-0 gauge(Knu is oversized so 4 would be fine), Cadence 0 gauge(very cheap), welding wire 0 gauge, or Audio Technix 0 gauge. these are the usually the biggest bang for your buck ways to get power wire.

I highly recommend the KnuKoncepts Kollosus Fleks OFC 4 gauge. Knukonceptz product detail for KOLOSSUS FLEKS KABLE 4 GAUGE RED POWER/GROUND WIRE It's excellent wire for the price. Definitely bigger than your average four gauge, and has a higher strand count too.

Here's the ring terminals I used. Lot of Ten - 4 Gauge 3/8" Crimp-On Ring Terminals - Molex ETC InsulKrimp | eBay Cheap as heck for ten of them, and they work great. Fit around the oversized KnuKoncepts 4 gauge wire without trimming, too. All you need is a hammer, and something resembling an anvil (I used the side of a 70 lb dumbell), to put them on the wire. What is the wire you already have run for power? If it was really cheap 4 gauge in a walmart/ebay kit, or whatever, it may not be up to the task...

Alright I've just bought 15ft in wire and 10 terminals. The amp has been shipped already and they was building my audioque today, shipping it tomorrow.

Hope this helps out some //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Do you think I'm going to have a much louder system now (like 2-3x louder) or do you think it will be just a little louder then those 2 volfs and kicker amp? Im excited for this new system hope it's going to be as good as I'm thinking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh and should I be putting the subs upside down or like normal? I have seen video where they got the cone facing inside the box, and the magnet of the sub outside of the box.

As long as you get the sub in a nice box, you should be blown away.

Awesome. Buck is making the design for me and I'm going to try and throw it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Any ideas about the upside down subs tho?
