i wouldnt use the q- tipp,more chances of messing it up.if you use the spray right,it will do a thorough job by itself.
EDIT;if you have to use a q-tip,you have waited too long before you cleaned it lol

i got a lot of weight in mine too. 3.8l v6 and get 300 miles to the 16gal tank

i say it's decent. and i drive pretty aggressively.

10% ethanol gas lowers MPG noticeably.
