Gas mileage has gone to shit. Why?

so stop driving 95mph....your optimum rpm on the highway is @ 2k and that would be around 70 mph.

3000 rpms will burn quite a bit of gas... drive slower and do the regular maint on your car. Also it may be time to go back to something lsx based... think about it... most of them get better mpg then that 4 banger honda...

But my main concern is my city mpg..

Like I said, I live in Florida, we've had a few cold nights down here, but during the day it stays a steady 60 -70 degrees..

I run Mobile-1 Full Synthetic, and change the oil every 5,000 miles or so.

Changed the oil a 1,000 miles ago, and the air filter could use some TLC I'd imagine. I'm going to hold off until I get my tax $$ and just buy a nice CAI with a re-usable filter...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But until then, I'll run up to Autozone and pick up a air filter some time today...

also check the tire pressure...just because the tires don't look pudgy doesn't mean they aren't low

this is what i would do...

run seafoam thru gas and oil (300-500miles in oil)

change oil/filter

change fuel filter

new plugs/wires

distro cap/rotor (if applicable)

clean the MAF

new/clean air filter

Mine has gone to shit here recently to, but mine was from a vaccum line leak. PCV valve had to be replaced.

depends on the filter type....on a paper one, all you can really do is tap it out on the pavement and/or blow it out with compressed air(obviously opposite direction of air flow)
