Galaxy tablet in a lexus

haha oh man i was thinking about doing the same thing, was going to buy the dash kit and cut out/fiberglass a mold to house the tab and continum. Guess ill wait to see how yours turns out to give me an idea on how it will look
if your going to fiberglass it.... you shouldnt need a dash kit... you can just fiberglass it right up, and make a faceplate for it.

this is just plain awesome! Already looks worlds better than the "ipad integration" BMW failed at on the back of the seats for SEMA. this is getting me fiberglass horney and making a xoom all the more interesting

yea... the owner has a xoom... but we figured out that it was going to take WAY too much fabbing just to get it to fit... so thats why he picked up the galaxy.

sorry i havent put an update up in a couple days... spent all day yesterday trying to get the dock to mount up correctly... and today was mothers day... so no dice... but tomorrow i should have some updates tomorrow

alright guys... finally have an update... got pretty much everything done today, just have to finish up a few loose ends tomorrow...

this video i didnt get too put as much detail into, cuz my camera decided to take a dump on me, and i didnt want to hold the install up for that... but let me know what you think

very impressed you were able to wire it all into car and what not. Final install aint the cleanest and i think if you took your time and did some more glassing/ bondoing and sanding you could make it look better and more flush

i couldnt put it flush... he "had" to have the ability to undock it, so that limited my choices on what to do... so i had to offset it a lil bit, just so it could pull out and undock... that and the fact that i had to shoot the last vid with my phone, cuz my camera crapped out on me... so you cant really see the details too well

Yo... seriously, by far... the sickest car audio install i EVER seen! Dude, re-wiring the car charger... custom fab "Galaxy" kit.... sick man, just sick. Artwork at its best. Im learning alot watching this. HANDS DOWN... Thread of the YEAR!!! Sad thing is, this thread will get lost in the shuffle with the rest of the other 100+ threads.

This.. it could be flush, just not the way you did it. If you wanted to of gotten crazy (or the owner I guess) You could of put the panel on 4 actuators that would extend out so you can take out the table then retract back in to be perfectly flush. Or a more simple way, just have the panel attached by 4 magnets so you can take off the whole thing and slide it out then put it back in. IMO that's a small sacrifice for the look it would of given. But personally if there was no budget or time restraint, I would of went with the actuators, it would of just been pure sickness if done right.
