gain settin problems

i was settin my gains earlier today...and even when the gain is all the way down..and h/u at 3/4 volume, it reads 54.x volts.

i need it set at 50v for my orion 2500d to be set at 1 ohm correctly

what gives? or is this just normal?

i set it with a 43 hz test tone, btw, if that makes any difference

cuz, when i set it last, prolly 2 weeks ago, i coulda swore i had to turn it up more, but i dont remember

Bass boost or loudness on the deck on? Bass boost on the amplifier on? Everything on the deck set to flat? What HU do you have?

Sub volume on the headunit is at 10...in the gain settin tutorial thingy it said to put it at whereever you normally listen.

i can turn that down though.

i had the same problem i was trying to use 40hz, you gotta use 60hz, and i would do it with -6 db tone

Man, i have the same problem, just mine reads 98v. What gives here!!!
