Octane $ 15.0.1 Help

I just recently did the Big Three and installed 2 Deep Cycle Batteries. I have a Phoenix Gold Octane R 15.0.1 powering a MT 10. It is only "supposed" to be 2 ohm stable, but I have had it running at .5 ohm since I got my MT with no problem. After getting the 2 deep cycle batteries, however, at loud volumes, it pops both fuses on the amp(2x40).

I was wondering if anyone knew the max amperage this amp can handle without frying, or a way to figure it out (without actually trying!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif )

And if it will handle more, I could just use bigger fuses, right???

So you have at least one battery powering that amp... why?
I went ahead and got two batteries because I got a good price and that way I would have them when I got a HK4000D. I also have a Memphis PR200, and am planning on adding a 300 watt amp for 2 8" midbass(when I decide what 8's to get).

If it does fry, screw it... I won't put any larger fuses in it, unless it is at the next comp, and the people want a show.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

i suppose yor mt is dual 1ohm wire the amp 2ohms before you waste it
It's quad 2. I wired it to .5 ohm at a comp and got an extra 2.1 dbs for the win. Just left it that way ever since, because for DD I just turn the eq down to get a little bass.

then i think that you should wire it at 2ohms for daily purposes and at 0.5ohms for comps cause i don't think that that amp will last long being abused like that
