gain matching tweeters.

I have my two actively set up through a 4 channel amp. Now, running pink noise. I level match my tweeters and my woofers. Ive been under the impression that tweeters take up to no energy to get loud.

My woofer and tweeter gains are almost dead even with each other.

amp is sundown 150.4 150x4

hertz esk 165.5

What am i missing here? why do i need even power?

Yea it sounds great. haha. Just everything i have ever heard of people running active with their tweeters is their gains are minimal. i plan to run a 3 way in the future and this question is geared more to..Am i going to need a rms amp to push the tweeters. Again everything ive read says put a 60 rms amp on your tweeters and your solid but im prob pushing more to them than that right now. Ive got a 1.2khz LPF capacitor or filter or whatever its called, in line with the tweeter. Would that be absorbing the power for whatever reason?

I may be missing the mark here, but if you used pink noise and an SPL meter to set your gains I think I know why your gains are set the same for the tweeter and midrange channels. Pink noise has equal energy per octave, so if all channels were playing that test track recorded at the same level then your gains would have to be set the same to hit the same SPL target.
