judge? dude your talking to someone who was in band since 8 or 9. played a variety of instruments and in plenty of shows and marched. realism is one form. i can hear the difference between an instrument being flat or sharp, well i used to its been a while. i have friends that where in bands and that play and get wasted on a regular.

That's not resolution. It's tonality.

Wishing well sounds like **** on that video. Or maybe my phone speakers sound like ****. Because that's what I'm hearing. Can you judge imaging, staging(width, depth, height) , tonality, spectral balance, ambiance, dynamics from a recorded YouTube video?

Or do you even know what that stuff is?

its mono of course, *** clown. and trust me i have decent sound stage. decent enough to place any instrument. i think my depth and width could be better and i have some peaks in the midrange around 150 and around 2500hz. i blame the huge non sealed doors for the drivers peaking around 150.

after listening to the martin logan electrostatics they aren't as detailed but we talking about 600$ electro-mechanical transducers to 7k electrostatic loudspeakers.

where did i say anything about resolution? its actually pitch when you're tuning. you adjust the pitch the have the desired "tone". some songs are played in flat some in sharp..

resolution being the amount of detail in respect to the actual sound your reproducing..

Resolution is the ability to display sounds that are hidden or covered up by louder more prominent sounds.

Tonality is accurately recreating a sound.

resolution isn't used in this form but it can be. just like anything else that varies in purity. if you say maximum resolution its in its purest form. anything other than that is lower "resolution"

while i agree tonality is an accurate in this sense i prefer the term resolution.

this is why i choose to use the word. when your listening to the music you want it to sound and realistic as it would as if it where being played to you. that would be the highest resolution you could here. its tonality is PERFECT.
