Fuse question

What fuse and fuse holder should i get for my power wire? I have 2 12" subs and a 2 channel amp with 1000 watt peak power. subs are rated at 4 ohms.

whats the RMS output of the amp? Peak power doesn't mean anything.

alot of people use 10 guage for speaker wire, you should be running 8 guage at the smallest, but i would recommend 4 guage for your setup.

Although correct, your reasoning is wrong. 10gauge is not thick enough for 500w

8 gauge will suit that amp just fine.

Although I always recommend going 1/0 so you'll never have to upgrade again. Its a worthwhile investment, IMO.
