fuse holder

Doing an amp swap, what would y'all recommend I place in the holder so the ends don't touch, until I replace the fuse? Nee answers quickly, please.
The idea of a fuse holder is to only allow current to pass through the fuse, just take the fuse out and reassemble the holder without it. Replace it when you are finished.

What? Pull the fuse and then put it back when done. Is the fuse holder not secured to anything? Pics?
The inline fuse holder, under the hood.

No shit. When you pull the fuse, the two ends shouldn't be touching. I don't see how you can mess that up if you have a proper fuse holder. You can leave the fuse out forever, it won't hurt anything.

i see what your saying, pull the fuse and just put a paper towel ( stuff it ) in it then screw the end on. that will give you peace of mind. or you can use anything as long as its not metal.

Thank you, bscott, I appreciate the sincere answer. Just wanted peace of mind.

sure, no problem.

the in-line holders i have gotten came with a small clear tub to keep the ends from rattling. i keep them so i can use them if i have to do what your doing.

if yours did not come with them, you can use anything.

i have used them tubs and have used paper towels to stuff it. worked great. this way you dont have to worry about the power wire at the amp as there will be no power to ground out..
